Meet the Florist:
Hi, my name is Vanessa.
I moved to San Francisco in late 2012 to pursue a degree in Zoology. Upon graduating and receiving a bachelor's of science, life unexpectedly changed when an opportunity came up to design weekly flower arrangements for a restaurant downtown. What began as a hobby serendipitously grew into a promising career.
In 2018, I stepped into floral design not through tradition, but through instinct. There was no grand plan, no formal training—just a sense of trust in where my hands and heart might lead. I turned my small garage into a studio, a sanctuary where flowers gave me purpose. Every arrangement I made in that tiny space taught me something about beauty, resilience, and the poetry of imperfection.
"Unwritten" is more than a name—it’s a philosophy. It speaks to beginnings that don’t have a clear ending, to love stories still unfolding, to events not yet lived but already deeply felt. My work is rooted in emotion, movement, and nature’s own effortless artistry. I design not just with flowers, but with intention: to echo the wild, tender, powerful moments in your life.
Today, that humble garage has grown into a studio in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco—but the soul of the work remains the same. It’s still about curiosity, craft, and creating something honest. Something that blooms once, but stays with you always.
